Hi all,
I just returned to the Big Apple from the excitement in Chicago!
Many, many wonderful people were there, and I was happy to meet
so many of you from the awizard list (and some great folks who
haven't taken the on-line plunge yet). The weather in Chicago was
quite mild, I thought, and this made the wait in line, and the
wandering around afterwards, very pleasant. A local band opened
for Todd, and they were quite good (despite the fact that the
sound man gave them no bass drum for some reason). Todd was hot;
the minor glitches that occurred were indeed minor.

The set list:

One World
Temporary Insanity
Black and White
Tables Will Turn
Tiny Demons
(another "learned onstage" song)
Hammer in my Heart
The Individualist
(This ran over 12 o'clock, but we celebrated on Todd Time, so noone really noticed)
Wait til the Midnight Hour
Number One Lowest Common Demoninator
Espresso (All Jacked Up)
Mystified/Broke Down and Busted/Hamster Smoothie/Mystified
Worldwide Epiphany
Encores (after not really leaving the stage):
The Wheel
Bang on the Drum

The Park West is a nice place to see a show, and they didn't try to pack us in -- although they did get a little abrupt when it was time to kick us out. Many of us preceded the concert with dinner at Topo Gigio's, and followed it with a cozy party back at the Days Inn. And just a few hours ago, I was having brunch with all the same great people; bleh, please tell me I don't have to go back to work in the morning.....
